Hurricane Isaias' impact in ENC as expected after landfall
National Weather Service officials report rainfall in Onslow and Lenoir counties from two to four inches and one to three inches in Pamlico Craven and Jones. Coastal areas saw gusts up to 69 mph in Jacksonville and 61 mph in Richlands with minimal structural damage. Power outages persisted into Tuesday with about 5 000 Jones County residents still without power and restoration advancing for Carteret Craven Lenoir line crews. Schools began damage assessments with mainly minor issues anticipated due to outages and public health restrictions.
