Marines aid evacuation and save patients aboard Comfort
Navy Marine Corps security team at Pier 90 in New York managed traffic and prioritized ambulances for the USNS Comfort to treat COVID-19 patients. Sgt. Austin Loppe and Colton Flach helped secure critical oxygen and speed care, saving at least one life and aiding multiple others as naval doctors treated trauma and urgent cases onboard. The operation supported Javits Center and NYC hospitals amid the pandemic.
