Harris Teeter Announces Hero Bonus for Workers During Pandemic
Harris Teeter will pay a $2 premium above base rates for hours worked April 1 to April 21 to retail distribution dairy and corporate staff as a Hero Bonus. The company also gave a one-time 300 full time and 150 part time appreciation bonus and is installing Plexiglass barriers social distancing floor decals and enhanced sanitation. The New Bern store opened December 2018 as the largest Harris Teeter in its history and anchors a 34 acre retail center.

Craven County Reports COVID-19 Case Count and Recoveries
Craven County confirms 14 COVID-19 cases as of April 4 2020 at 12 00 p m. Five of the 14 have recovered and are out of isolation. Six cases stem from out of state travel and six from community transmission with two direct contacts to a previously confirmed case.
