New Bern Receives National Trust Flood Plan Grant

New Bern was awarded a $10,000 Preservation Fund grant by the National Trust for Historic Preservation to fund a flood resiliency plan for the city including its historic districts. The plan aims to reduce flood vulnerability, aid disaster recovery, and guide an eventual implementation phase after a $90,000 planning cost. Hurricane Florence caused about $100 million in damages within city limits.
