He says he is running because he believes the present Council does not pay enough attention to its advisory boards is usually not prepared to vote on issues when they Are brought before it and ignores the wishes of the people in Many cases. City Engineer ted Yeatts said this week that the requirement has caused some worry among City officials because there Are so few such contractors in the county and if one is not found to do the Job the government will not provide funds for the project. The stringent government regulations regarding construction of the sidewalks have caused other problems he explained because contractors Are wary of bidding on a Job with such voluminous specifications. Yeatts said an advertisement which has run in a daily paper three times Over the past few weeks has not drawn a single bid.
