Venice considers four thousand three hundred forty dollar utility connections
The City of Venice weighs a 4340 dollar connection charge for water and sewer linked to a 5.19 million bond approved in December. The rate applies to new connections within the city and to unincorporated lots that annex, with old rates still available in some enclaves. A forthcoming June 9 vote could raise charges by about 400 percent.
