Sewage lift change in Venice replaces old station with new capacity
Venice plans to retire old number seven lift station and install a new doubled capacity facility in a three-section concrete pipe housing 30 feet deep. Crews shifted the structure when an unidentified 18 inch pipe obstructed the first dig. Traffic will be limited to single lanes for about a day as work proceeds and the old pump site is salvaged.
