Residents buy park in Sarasota County triumph over rent hikes
In Japanese Gardens Mobile Home Park Sarasota County residents pooled funds to form a corporation and buy the park for 3.3 million from Mobilinium Corp. Sixty percent financed by 11 000 shares per resident with 80 percent of 412 residents participating. The deal closed April 28 after about 80 days of organizing.
