Harbor Lights seeks revenue bonds for sewer hookup plan
Harbor Lights Mobile owner Herbert Hofmann said he is interested in industrial revenue bonds to fund connecting the park to Venice Florida’s sanitary sewer system. The city legal staff is reviewing a possible 11 percent financing with roughly 500 000 in bonds as Hofmann pursues options amid ongoing lawsuits over the sewer hookup and travel trailers. Hofmann remains willing to connect if funds are available, while many residents still rely on septic tanks.
