Steve Litzell, manager of Manny's Transmissions at 1841 S Tamiami Trail Venice, has led the auto shop since 1979. The automatic transmission rebuild and general repair shop opened in November 1981, with Manny's established in Sarasota 20 years ago and owned since 1972 by Bob Bauman.
Valerie Fortson serves as general manager of The Bra Shop Inc at 1266 S. Tamiami Trail Skate Corral Plaza suite 101. The auto and motorcycle cover shop opened in December 1981. The Bra Shop is owned by businessman John Downing, who also owns Venice Motorcraft established in 1979 and Venice Racecraft a marine and auto machine shop.
Robert O'Brien manages Venice Racecraft a marine and auto machine shop at 208 Warfield Ave Venice The business opened in January and is owned by John Downing owner of The Bra Shop Inc Venice and Venice Motorcraft.
Jerry Moore named customer service manager for General Telephone in south Sarasota County. He joined GenTel in 1968 and has held posts in Lakeland, Tampa, Haines City, Largo, and Winter Haven. He replaces Bob Stoner, now in charge of downtown Sarasota and northern county areas.
R. Bruce Kelsey has joined Century 21 First Realty Gulf Coast at 2190 S Trail Venice. A Florida Southern College business administration graduate and native of New Canaan Connecticut, he has lived in Venice since 1980.
