Snows Celebrate Golden Anniversary in Venice
Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Snow of Venice observed their golden wedding anniversary on March 10. They were married in Chattanooga in 1932 and moved from Florida to Miami in 1947 before settling in Venice. The reception included nephews and nieces from Miami and close friends, with Mrs. Snow working part time. They are a former Dade County teaching couple now in painting.

Venice area rummage bake sale and assorted community events
The Venice Gardens Homeowner's Association hosts a rummage and bake sale at Civic Center on March 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Several groups meet that day including American Legion Novel Post 159 with an Irish dinner, Seabee Veterans Island X-3 at Cypress Inn, and VFW Tamiami Post 8118 Irish Nite with a corned beef dinner and dancing. Other activities include a wine tasting for Alpha Chi Omega in Osprey, a Venice Elementary School Safety Patrol car wash to fund a Disney World trip, and a Golden Wedding anniversary open house for Mr. and Mrs. Norval P. Waldo.
