Venice tax vote stirs lawmakers in Tallahassee visit
The Venice delegation pushed a one cent sales tax as Ewing and Dawson opposed it amid a House majority. A letter from Mayor Proctor urged support, delivered after the pair’s thumbs down. Delegation members debated polling and noted the legislators were out of step with their constituents on the tax.
