Gas price drop tied to supply and demand forces
Gasoline prices continue their sharp decline with self service regular at the 1.099 mark in the area. Forecasters predict possible sub $1 per gallon by midsummer amid a world oil glut and national recession. The Peninsula Motor Club AAA World notes Florida prices eased about one cent a gallon in February and cites a typical 12.7 cent gap between self service and full service.
