Taddy seeks county permit for Venice road work

Venice MJC campus setback delays begin of work but not classes
Minor design changes push back the start of construction for Manatee Junior College’s Venice campus by 8 to 10 days. Classes remain scheduled to begin August 1984. Final approvals were given Feb 16 for the revised Berry Corporation land contract totaling 100 acres at U.S. 41 and River Road with prices of 500000 and 10000 respectively, and a March 16 closing date. Groundbreaking was slated for April 15 with completion targeted April 23 1984, now likely delayed slightly.
