Nokomis Beach bridge to undergo major remodeling
The Nokomis Beach bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway at Albee Road will close five nights a week for about four months starting in about two weeks. The project, cost 159,968 dollars, replaces wooden fender pilings with concrete, sandblasts and repaints the structure, with night work from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. by John Burgstiner Equipment Co. of Sarasota.
