Venice Man Demands Jail Time After Bar Incident
Police report a Venice man, Leland Schrimberg Jr., 32, charged with disorderly conduct after refusing to quiet down at Venice Village Bar and pounding a patrol car hood at 1 19 a m. An incident also notes a Nokomis man charged with leaving the scene of a bank drive through after his truck clipped a bank deposit box causing about 1200 in damage and 300 in vehicle damage. A yellow 1979 moped stolen from Newton Torrance was found matching none of its numbers. another 1978 model with same color was recovered for safekeeping. A mobile radio worth 800 was stolen from a truck on East Venice Avenue and a business band radio taken from a pickup with unlocked windows.
