String Program Set for June by Florida West Coast Symphony
The Third Annual Summer String Program offers instruction in violin, viola, cello and bass. Classes run June 26 to July 20 on Tue Wed Thu mornings at North United Methodist Church. Beginners 9 10 a.m. tuition 30 includes instrument rental. Intermediate 10 15 12 15 p.m. tuition 35. Junior conductors Kenneth Bowermeister and Dorothy Garland lead violin and viola. Transitions and Stress Courses Offered at Sarasota Junior High
Sarasota Junior High in partnership with The Light of Yoga Society and Sarasota County Parks and Recreation offers two eight week courses. Transitions: Understanding Growth and Change begins June 18 at 7 p.m. Stress and Relaxation starts June 20 at 7 p.m. Each course costs 24 dollars and meets weekly at Sarasota Junior High School.
