Mafia Purple Gang truce and violent turf war history
Tensions between the Purple Gang and Mafia exploded after a bomb and a string of killings. The arrangement allowed beer and brothel operations while each group kept other illicit trades. The truce faltered when Angelo Meli and Massey later died in Miami.
