Dogfight over airfield causes clash between flyers and residents
In Englewood near Buchan Air Field a dispute erupts between the Venice R C Flyers club and Alameda Isles mobile home residents over radio controlled planes. Residents cite crashes into homes and noise while the club notes a rare crash record and seeks safer practice locations. County officials worry a ban could threaten the field and future development plans.
