Venice considers funding expanded Christmas display on West Venice Avenue
Venice City Council discussed a $5,000 city contribution to fund an expanded holiday display on West Venice Avenue with plans for 50 plastic trees and extended lighting toward Harbor Drive. Merchants would be invited to match up to $5,000, aiming to total $10,000, plus a gondola from the Jaycees and a public address system. The plan stresses a holiday theme with white lights to respect all faiths.
