MacArthur Tract Nears Funding Boost Through Referendum
Sarasota County officials report the 33 000 acre MacArthur Tract remains high on the CARL list as state leaders consider funding. County Chairman Mabry Carlton says the tract could gain several places if referendum backed and water supply needs strengthen, with about 60 million in CARL reserves and ownership held by the MacArthur Foundation.
