Fatal single vehicle crash claims North Port man
A 23 year old North Port resident, Charles Tyson Worrell, died from injuries after a single car crash on S R 777 east of Englewood. The crash occurred around 3 am when the vehicle went off the road, crossed back, struck palmettos and overturned. He was pronounced dead at Venice Hospital. No charges filed.

Two Injured In Venice East Blvd Collision
Florida Highway Patrol reports two men injured when a westbound car on Venice East Blvd slid out of a curve and struck a concrete wall. Driver Thomas Allen Georskey 19 of Venice was taken in guarded condition. passenger John R. Hall 601 Osceola Nokomis listed in satisfactory condition at Venice Hospital. No charges have been filed pending investigation.
