Venetian tapped for county growth study committee
Louise Eldred of Venice, a former Sarasota County Planning Commission member, was nominated to an 11 person growth control ad hoc committee by Commission Chairman Beverly Clay after a 3 2 vote. Four nominees work in construction and the panel drew opposition for its ties to developers. Eldred hopes the panel aids county planning decisions amid a population boom.
