Pioneer Days Beard Growing Contest Opens With Prizes

The 1981 Pioneer Days Beard Growing Contest begins this week with prizes for best, worst and longest beards. A $5 registration is refundable to entrants who attend judging. business sponsors pay $10. Registration can occur at Englewood Herald or Hair N You locations. Deadline July 18. contestants may grow one week's beard by then. Judging and plaques occur at 1 p.m. September 6 at the Pioneer Days Barbecue.
