Venice union fails to appear for contract talks
The AFSCME Venice local 1718 did not attend the opening session of negotiations for a new city contract at the Venice Community Center. City Manager Dale Rieth said he will seek the city attorney’s advice on the legality of the no-show and potential unfair labor practices.
