Venice Council backs auto inspections reestablishment

Venice City Council urged reestablishment of automobile inspection stations as state lawmakers study bills to reopen the program. GTE Venice plan March bid for Intracoastal crossing

GTE and the City of Venice will cooperate on a three month project starting in April to cross the Intracoastal Waterway with telephone sewer and water lines. Project engineer John Carlson said bid opening is March 1 and work should begin after April 1 with possible short term lane restrictions on East Venice Avenue.
