The Venice Area Chamber of Commerce holds its 57th annual membership banquet Friday January 29 at the Venice Holiday Inn. Paul Dent will be installed as president with new directors O E Phillips Walter Packard Duke Taliaferro Scott Confer and newcomers Donna Roberts Art Learned Gene Reed. Southeast Bank Posts 1981 Earnings Gain and Asset Rise
Southeast Bank reports 1981 net income of $49.3 million up 3 percent from 1980 and earnings per share of $3.15. Fourth quarter 1981 income before securities transactions was $12.5 million or $0.73 per share, with similar quarterly net income. Acquisition added 16 offices from Community Bank of Pinellas and 1.8 million new shares. Total assets reached $6.5 billion and deposits $5.0 billion at year end, versus $5.9 billion and $4.4 billion a year earlier.

Century 21 Receives Easter Seals Appreciation Award
The National Easter Seal Society honored Century 21 Real Estate Corporation at its convention in Las Vegas with an appreciation award. Century 21 has raised about 3 million dollars in contributions over three years. Century 21 Southern Florida raised over twenty thousand dollars for Easter Seals in 1981. Pat Boone presented the award as Easter Seals national chairman. Century 21, a Trans World subsidiary, operates over 7,200 franchises in the United States and Canada, with four Venice offices.

Naples Federal reports 1981–82 first quarter earnings
Naples Federal Savings and Loan Association posts its first fiscal quarter 1982 earnings totaling $404,646 or 20 cents per share for the quarter ended December 31 1981.
