Local leaders unite for roads beaches at historic meet
County Commissioner Bob Anderson and city mayors from Venice Sarasota Longboat Key and North Port gathered at the Sarasota County Administration Building to form the Council of Sarasota Government a monthly forum to align road engineering coastal zone management and other regional issues. The group aims to reduce duplication cut costs and present a unified voice to state authorities while noting no formal policy power.
