Sarasota County seeks state aid for 911 system and roads
Sarasota County Commissioners plan a Tallahassee visit to press for a 911 emergency dialing system funded by state reimbursements and for road projects on SR-775 and Fruitville Road. They seek $267,000 for equipment with a total project cost of $465,000, plus funding for jail expansion, a uniform building code, and stricter drug penalties. The delegation will urge aid to install the system by June 1985 and to cover ongoing maintenance from general funds.
