Vandalized House Sits Vacant. Sheriff Reports Incidents
Anonymous caller tips Charlotte County sheriff of a freshly vandalized and burglarized vacant house on Rotonda Circle owned by Gordon Yates of Tampa. Cpl. Jerry White notes plywood loosened inside the enclosed porch. Yates says a lawyer handles the property and declines further plywood replacement. Dep. Ken Barton directs Morrison Trucking to cover dirt loads after a spill from a Sandpiper Key construction site. An argument between roommates leads to a battery charge against Englewood resident Russell Kinsey after he allegedly kicked James Sampson in the face. Kinsey denies the act.
