Venice Bypass shooting threat leads to two arrests

Police arrested Jerry Alkire and Eric Szul, both 22 to 23, after a reported road ramming and shotgun threat on Venice Bypass. Investigators traced the suspect vehicle license to Szul following a January incident described by victims William Szarczewski and Reggie Johnson.

Venice woman charged for failure to yield after intersection crash

Justice Cecil, 75, of 1028 Beach Manor Circle, was charged after allegedly failing to yield at a stop sign and colliding with Marianne Biondo, 21, of 300 Base Ave. Venice. Ambulance crews took Cecil and a passenger to Venice Hospital.
