North Port dump site stirs MRPS opposition in Florida
The Myakka River Preservation Society formed to oppose a proposed sanitary landfill at the confluence of the Myakka River and Big Slough in North Port. Members cite river pollution, flood risk, odor, wildlife impact, and threats to water supplies, urging public objection and inviting residents to a January meeting.
