The third annual Later Life Seminar focuses on Loss with sessions on stress reduction low mood aging and related topics. Presenters include Drs Bannasch Moeser Hinkley Nay and others. registration fees range from 10 to 30 dollars and lunch is included. The event runs February 5 and 6 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Venice Hospital and related sponsors host the program.

Lions Club glaucoma screenings serve Englewood area
The Lions Club of Englewood reported 363 eyes tested at free glaucoma screenings held in December at Holiday Mobile Estates recreation hall. 11 referrals were made for further exams. Nurses Myrna Marble Rebecca Clapp and Marge Fox of the Sarasota County Health Department led the testing with Dr. C N Timmerman.
