Venice Woman Foils Intruder. Burglary Suspect Arrested
A Venice woman awoke screaming on Christmas morning and forced an intruder to flee. Police arrested William Carver, 27, described as from the Ringling Bros. circus train, for burglary and sexual battery. Also jailed were Paul Klinberg, 40, on DUI and license charges, and James Hancock, 21, for trespassing. In Rotonda West, a thief stole all presents from Dianne Thompson’s tree on Christmas Eve, entering through a locked sliding door and taking gifts including shoes, a Nike tee, jeans, a pantsuit, puzzles, cologne, and more.
