Fishing in frigid weather nets few anglers on shorelines
In the chilly Dec 21 conditions only a handful fished the north jetty, south jetty empty, and Venice pier saw five lines in water. Terry Smith reported five sheepshead, Jack Sneed five pompano, Joey Miller a 27 inch whiting, while David Wood and others added redfish and drum notes from the waterway. Authorities urge reporting cold spell poaching of snook.
