Tarpon Center Drive zoning petition denied by planning panel

Fiers testified the property was built as a model and sales office for The Towers and later owned by developers before he bought it from Quarterdeck Development. He argued no other offices exist along Tarpon Center Drive and favored a zoning change to OPI. Condominium owners fear future changes could allow a non real estate use. The planning commission unanimously recommended denial and another public hearing will be scheduled.
