Myakka Estates Subdivision Faces Rejection by State Bureau
The Florida Bureau of Land and Water Management recommends rejection of the Myakka Estates settlement agreement citing lack of regional impact review for portions outside units 5 6 and 7 while SWFRPC amends and approves the plan exempting the project from certain regional impact filings. The plan outlines 1500 home sites outside core units with a 1 acre density overall and a timetable from 1993 occupancy to 2020 completion including 2535 single family homes 1201 estates 1366 multi family units and 457 ranchettes in North Port with a small overlap into Englewood Water District jurisdiction.
