Cashless society mov ement grows says local bankers
Venice Nokomis Bank vice president Steve Church says cashless payments will arrive soon, with ATMs and branch banking expanding nationwide. The Venice Gardens branch, opened last July at U S 41 and Shamrock Blvd, offers full services, a five lane drive in, and computerized accounting handled in Tampa through First Florida Banks Inc. Church notes automation fuels cost cuts and closer service to customers despite ongoing cash use.
