Tile talk frames price and longevity in flooring choice
Vocke notes little price difference between vinyl and ceramic tiles with averages of 14.95 and 18.95 per square yard. Ceramic or stone lasts indefinitely while vinyl may last about five years and can puncture or fade. Tiles carry Italian guild insignia and trace family makers in Italy, while Mexican clay tiles gain local interest as natural materials gain popularity.
