Two Venice area principals among county school retirees
A report to the county school board lists 18 administrators planning retirement within five years. Notably Guy Rose, Venice High School principal, and Guy Bennett, Venice Junior High principal, are slated to retire in June 1980 and 1983 respectively. Superintendent Dr. Gene Pillot, who plans to resign June 30, 1981, says most dates are tentative. The board seeks clearer advance notice for smooth replacements. Graveside services were held for Beva C. Brown of Warm Mineral Springs, 55, with Farley Funeral Home handling local arrangements.
