Venice erosion plan faces public comment and possible hearing
Public input is being sought on a proposed four breakwaters and sand placement to slow erosion south of the Venice Fishing Pier. The U S Army Corps of Engineers will decide after a public comment window August 3 to September 3, with potential bids and a six‑to‑twelve month construction window if a permit is issued.
