Cook named substitute principal at Garden Elementary
New Garden Elementary substitute principal Mark E. Cook vows an upbeat start with no major changes. He was nominated by Jean Matheson and appointed by the Sarasota County school board, replacing Harry Soward amid ongoing investigations. Cook, 27, holds an MBA and has taught in Florida after growing up in Buffalo. He urges parent involvement and an open door policy to preserve the school’s positive learning environment.
