In Sarasota and Charlotte Counties, classes resume Monday August 23 at Epiphany Catholic and Garden Elementary along with other district schools. Epiphany hires Sister Mary Zetta as principal and adds staff teaching sixth to eighth grades. Garden Elementary adds grade changes and a named suite system with teachers and aides across Kindergarten to Fifth grade and multiple specialists.
Vincent Giordano president of Affiliate 35 of the National Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association announces nutrition will be discussed at the next meeting on Wednesday August 25 at the Venice Centre Mall recreation center on West Tampa Avenue. Members come from Englewood Port Charlotte North Port Nokomis and Venice.
The Englewood Business and Professional Women's Club will meet at the Englewood Inn on Englewood Road on Tuesday August 24. A social hour begins at 6 30 p m with reservations to Ann Fieg at 474 4441.
