Venice businessman Ron Hicks was named to the New College Foundation's executive committee. He joined the New College Board of Trustees at the spring meeting May 25. Hicks is president and owner of Hicks Moving and Storage Company of Venice and Charlotte County, and he has led local groups including the Sarasota Committee of 100 in 1982 and the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce as director and past president.
