Surprise storm triples Venice Fishing Pier damage total
A consulting report raises Venice Pier repair costs from 137 400 to over 500 000 after a June 18 storm. Damage includes decking cracks posts and epoxy injections with 24 cubic feet of baffle tops to be rebuilt. Preferred plan repairs 450 feet and outer 320 feet with reefing removed decking and wood replacement.
