Venice Little League Wildcats claim sub district title
Venice Little League captured the sub district title amid a season of trials and turbulence. Venice National excelled in district finals against Sarasota, the state champion, while Venice Gulf Senior League shifted to Babe Ruth and Big League formats for teens. A note from Englewood and Sam Ferro prompted corrections about state appearances, with mixed results for the local programs. Plantation Golf Club hosts Mixed Doubles with check in at 12 30 p.m. and play starting at 1 p.m. A barbecue follows around 3 30 p.m.
