Sunshine Skate City evolving to family entertainment center
John and Janice Dudley took over Sunshine Skate City in October 1977 from Lenny McMahon who ran it as Lenny's Skate City. They plan expansion from 7,500 to 16,000 18,000 square feet, add a disco floor and carpeted walls, and market it as a family entertainment center with guards on duty to improve safety. They offer varied hours for youth and adults, skating lessons, fund-raising use for groups, and see growing popularity as an outdoor friendly venue in the area.
