Venice adopts water and sewer hookup charges
Rate consultants Howard Osterman and Tony Elia of Diversified Utility Services tell Venice City Council that staff recommendations for water and sewer hookup charges are basically correct. Court judgment sought on bonds in Venice nursing home case
A deadlocked county commission rejected a Beverly Enterprises IRB settlement for a 120 bed Venice nursing home. Some members favor court action to decide control over IRB applications, while others back the attorney’s settlement. If control is not maintained, the board may exit IRB operations. Beverley Enterprises seeks $2.5 million in IRBs to build the facility employing 96 people.
