Venice farmers push for farmland naming and limits

General Telephone to Trim Sarasota County Directories in 1981
General Telephone will issue about 250000 copies of a smaller county directory in June 1981. The EAS directory will be separated from the main book to cut costs and paper use. Some Venice and Englewood lines will switch to new 493 numbers as service moves to a new electronic switch.
