Taxpayers clash with Sarasota county leaders over Venice forum
County commissioners Mabry Carlton and Bob Anderson skip a Sunday Q&A on taxes and growth at Venice Community Center amid STOP protests. STOP chairman Zielonka says forum aims to inform taxpayers with expert input while seeking to unseat incumbents. The April 7 bond hearing and MacArthur tract water plans loom over the dispute.
